Light and dark mode settings

We're rolling out navigation changes gradually, so some steps in this Help article may not accurately reflect what you see in the app. If you can't find Canva AI, your profile photo, or your Print cart on the homepage, go to

More.

Enable light and dark mode

Change Canva's look between light, dark, or even sync with your system settings. By default, Canva follows your system settings. You can change this at any time in your Settings.

You can choose whether Canva uses a light theme, dark theme, or matches your device's appearance.

Option 1: From your profile

  1. From the homepage, go to your account profile.
  2. Select
    Theme.
  3. Choose one of the following:
    • Light
    • Sync with system
    • Dark

Option 2: From Accessibility settings

  1. From the homepage, go to your account profile.
  2. Select
    Your account.
  3. Go to
    Accessibility.
  4. In the Theme section, click the drop-down.
  5. Choose one of the following:
    • Light
    • Dark
    • Sync with system

Improving visibility

To improve visibility, you can also enable the High Color Contrast setting. To do this, go to the Accessibility section, then toggle the switch beside High Color Contrast. This will remove the gradient from the editor header to enhance the border color.
