Creating and logging in to your Canva account

You can set up a Canva account in different ways. Continue with your email address, Google, Facebook, or other methods to sign up and start using Canva for free. If you already have an account, we’ll log you in.

1. Go to canva.com and select Sign up.  
2. On the signup page, choose to Continue with email or select Continue another way, then Continue with work email. 
3. Enter the email address you’d like to use in Canva, then select Continue. Please note that we don't allow temporary or disposable email addresses.
4. Enter your preferred account name. 
5. Select Continue.  
6. Enter the code that was sent to your email address to finish signing up.
7. You can set a password in Settings later. Learn how to set or change your password.
8. Verify your email address by following the steps we'll send to your email.
9. Enter the confirmation code from the email you received.You can also sign up using Google, Facebook, Apple, or other methods.

You’re all set! Log in anytime with the email you set.

You can use one of your other accounts (Facebook, Google, Apple, and others) to create a Canva account.

From the signup or login page, or from your Canva app, choose Log in/Continue with... . You may have to log in or enter authentication codes related to your chosen account if prompted.

Here are the methods we currently support:

• Apple
• Facebook
• Google
• Email
• Microsoft
• LINE (Only available in Japan)
• Yahoo! (Only available in Japan)
• Work email address
• Kakao Talk (Only available in Korea)
• Naver (Only available in Korea)

Note: Some methods may not be available for some countries.

If you’re in South Korea, you can use Naver to sign up or log in to Canva. Here’s how:

1. From the Canva login page, tap Log in with Naver.
2. You'll be taken to the Naver website. Review the permissions, then tap Agree.
3. On the Complete authentication screen, enter your Naver email address, then tap Continue.
4. On the Complete login screen, enter the verification code sent to your Naver email, then tap Continue.
5. Optional: On the Want to log in faster? screen, tap Continue to set up a passkey, or select Skip for now.
6. You're all set! You’re now logged in to your Canva account.

You can log in using the same methods above:

• Log in with your email address or work email address
• Log in using Facebook, Google, Apple or other methods
• In some countries, you can also log in with your mobile number

No. This is expected behavior.

Here are the reasons:

• We cannot block an email address from creating a new account using Google Sign-In.
• When a user selects Continue with Google, Google treats this as permission to create or access an account. This is expected behavior.
• If no active account exists for that email, a new account is created automatically when the user selects Continue with Google.
• There is no workaround on our end. Explain and close.
